从事观赏作物花朵开放品质形成和保持的分子生理机制研究,包括:
1. 菊花成花机制研究
菊花是全球重要的观赏作物之一,也是典型的短日照植物,其花芽分化严格依赖于短日照信号,是研究植物成花调控的优良材料。菊花商品化周年生产要依赖于人工光周期调节,不仅费时而且耗能。因此,探究菊花成花机制,改良菊花成花品质,既具有园艺学意义又具有植物学意义。我的研究主要探究菊花不同品种及其近源种间成花机制的异同。
2. 月季花瓣脱落的分子调控机理研究
月季是世界范围应用最广泛也是商品价值最高的鲜切花之一,其观赏价值主要取决于花朵的开放寿命,而花朵的开放寿命又由花瓣脱落的时间决定。因此,认知花瓣脱落机理,选育花瓣不易脱落型月季新种质,对于月季产业具有重要的现实意义。我的研究主要探究激素互作在月季花瓣离区形成和脱落激活中的作用。
