报告题目：NARROWSHEATH1/WOX3 promotes mediolateral outgrowth of leaf primordia from the shoot apical meristem
报告人：Michael J. Scanlon, Professor of Plant Biology at Cornell University, Ithaca.
Dr. Scanlon started his laboratory at University of Georgia in 1997, and moved his lab to Cornell in 2005. His research focuses on mechanisms of plant development, and the evolution of plant morphology. Utilizing comparative developmental genetics and functional genomics, his lab is especially interested in the processes whereby meristems make leaves and embryos make meristems. Scanlon lab exploits forward and reverse genetic mutants of maize, Arabidopsis, tomato, and moss as the foundation for comparative analyses of fundamental processes in plant development. He has published over 70 papers in Journals such as Current Biology, Plant Cell, Genome Biology, Nature Communications, PLoS Genetics and Plant Physiology.
