【园艺学院111引智学术报告】Regulation of abscisic acid metabolism during seed germination in Arabidopsis

Prof. Eiji Nambara

Department of Cell & Systems Biology

University of Toronto

Dr. Nambara received his Ph.D. degree in Nagoya University. He is now a Professor in the Department of Cell & Systems Biology, University of Toronto. His research areas are including Biotechnology, Chemical Biology, Comparative Genomics, Functional Genomics, Genetics, Metabolomics, Molecular Biology, Plant Biology, and Systems Biology. Dr. Nambara is very well known for his ABA- and seed- related work. He has published more than 90 papers in journals such as Cell, Nature, Nature communication, Plant Cell, Plant Physiology et al. with a total citation of >14,120 and h-index of 54 (highly cited research from 2014 to 2018). He has also written 9 book chapters for Annu. Plant Reviews and the Arabidopsis Book et al. He has been issued the Research Award by Japanese Society for Chemical Regulation and the Young Investigator Award by Japanese Society for Plant Physiology. He is the handling editor of the Plant Journal, associate editor of Seed Science Research, and the editor of other two journals. He has served on the editorial boards of 5 journals, such as Plant Cell Physiology and Frontiers in Plant Genetics & Genomics. He has also served as co-chairs for International Plant Growth Substances Association Meeting. Dr. Nambara is a reviewer of 45 journals including Science, Nature Plants, Nature Communication, PNAS, and Plant Cell.
